Unite! Spring School (USS), about energy

Introduction


Unite! 
is a European university project in which the UPC participates.
The 1st Unite! Spring School (USS) aims to increase the interest of master's students in working on a master's thesis, in selected topics of sustainable energy and common interest for Unite partner universities ! (open in new window), with the prospect of pursuing a doctorate.

The Unite! Spring School is open to master’s students from the 7 partner universities of Unite!.

This is an online activity, organized within the framework of the European university Unite!, in which the UPC participates, and it is funded by the Erasmus + program.

The USS will be an interesting event that will combine: conferences and presentations by specialists, doctoral students and business professionals; presentation of master's thesis proposals; social events; etc.

The topics will be:

  •     Batteries and energy storage
  •     Catalysts and fuel cells
  •     Hydrogen
  •     Bioenergy
  •     Smart grids
  •     Sustainable Nuclear

From Monday, May 17th until Wednesday, May 19th; both included.

Cost

 Free. The participants do not have to pay any registration fee.
The participants in USS will obtain, after completing the activity, a Unite! certificate of attendance.

How to apply

UPC students interested in taking part in the Unite! Spring School  have to send, before 15th April, to the UPC International Relations Bureau their application, by sending an e-mail to:  , with the following documents attached:

  • Transcript of records: actual transcript of records that you can download from your e-secretaria, in English. You have to send your bachelor and master transcript of records.
  • Curriculum vítae (CV)
  • Certificate of English language

Note: Any application submitted by other means (post, delivered in paper at the office, etc.), or submitted after this deadline, will not be taken into account.

Applicants will receive an e-mail confirming that they have submitted their application.

Processing of applications

Later, Between 16th-25th April, the UPC will prioritize and process the candidates with the coordination of the USS.

On April 26th, a notification will be sent to students selected to participate in the USS.

On May 2nd, students selected to participate in the USS will formalize their registration.

Tentatively, up to a maximum of 10 candidates per Unite! partner will be selected to participate in the Unite! Spring School (USS). (That is, there would be about 10 UPC students pre-selected.)
