Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Railway Systems

Electrical energy is currently an irreplaceable energy vector, without which we could not imagine the world as it is.

Climate change has accelerated the energy transition towards a world with less burning of fossil fuels and more electrified systems. It is no longer just about aspects related to the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, the control and protection of electrical systems or the use of electric drives and machines in industrial processes. It is a new paradigm in which sectors undergoing transformation, such as the electrification of transport of people and goods, new renewable generation technologies and energy management, require highly qualified professionals.

The EPSEVG endorses specialisation in a leading technology sector that has some of the best rates of energy efficiency and a high level of electrification and automation: railway systems.

This degree will not only provide you with the basic knowledge you need to design and operate electrical systems and devices and to design renewable energy and electric mobility systems, it will also equip you with knowledge and practical skills in the fields of technology, operational planning and control of the subsystems involved in railway operation and infrastructure and their interaction.
